This project is born from a desire to share the authentic and delicious flavours of my beloved home country of Mexico with all those who love international food and are particularly interested in exploring new flavours
Mexican cuisine is a priceless gift for the world, it is a celebration of creativity, colours, textures, smell and flavour in each of its dishes, the variety is as extensive and flamboyant as the country. Most of its main ingredients come from pre-Hispanic Mexico, staple foods such as corn, beans, chilli, red and green tomato, avocado, cocoa, peanut, amaranth, vanilla, cactus, agave, which when infused with certain European and Asian ingredients make the combinations creating delicacies recognised worldwide.
It is for these reasons that Mexican cuisine was recognised as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010.

MARCELA AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE successfully catered a birthday party event for approximately 60 people in Newport, Wales.
It was a pleasure for me to know both adults and children were so delighted by trying the authentic flavour from my beloved country.
The customer pre-selected the main dishes from a list with lots of vegetarian options and some tweaks to suit vegans.
One of the most important things for me is that the customer and their guests have a culinary and unique experience.

I cannot praise Marcela Authentic Mexican Cuisine enough. Food was amazing with great customer service and care.
Marcela and her team came and did lunch for my birthday party for approx. 60 people.
The food was the highlight of the party, with every guest telling me how amazing, tasty and vibrant the food was. The food options are so good (I pre selected the menu from a list) with lots of veggie and vegan options too. She was also happy to tweak a few bits so make them vegan friendly.
The customer service and communication before the event was great, she was easy to work with and didn't mind me asking lots of questions. On the day the team arrived on time to set up and just got on with it. They came with everything needed to serve lunch including there own tables and were really lovely.
I would book them again in a second and have already recommended to everyone I know. Just wish I lived a bit closer to Milford so I could regularly get her takeaway dinners.
Private Event, Bday party.I'd asked Marcela if I could collect food to go at a pop up event in Haverfordwest and she was so accommodating. We had a little confusion over the order but she went over and above to rectify the situation. The food is spectacular, authentic and uses beautiful produce. What more could you ask for?!
Try anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed but if I had to choose favourites I'd highly recommend the Chicken Mohle and the bacon wrapped prawn tostadas - beyond delicious! Marcela - thank you again for the amazing food, your generous spirit, and brilliant service. Can't wait to try more dishes! xxxx
Pop-up event/takeawayWhat an unexpected GEM. I lived in the Southern USA for over 25 years and fell in love with real Mexican food and Tex Mex (the Americanised version).
This is the *Real McCoy* , and 100% completely Delicious and fun to eat.
If authenticity and celebrating cultural Cuisine matters. Then this "really good food" should be eaten.

About me
My name is Marcela and I come from Mexico City. As a teenager, I trained as a professional actress and worked in that industry for many years before coming to the UK.
I originally moved to this country in 2017 and although I have discovered many new foods here that I enjoy, roast dinner, shepherd’s pie, toast and marmite are just a few examples, I found that I really missed some of my favourite dishes from back home.
My first food memories are of cooking with my mother in our kitchen in Mexico City, that sacred place full of traditions, pleasant aromas and exquisite combinations. She taught me in the same way as she was taught by her mom, that cooking is an experience that should be enjoyed.
For me is about experimenting and being respectful of the flavours and the traditional methods.
It is for these reasons that I want to share my country’s dishes with you all. I have really enjoyed all the events so far, introducing authentic Mexican food to my guests and I have been delighted with the feedback I have received.
I can´t wait to do more and hopefully, I will welcome you to one of my events soon.
